Shadow Butte Development Park
Gem County is working to bring more commerce to our valley. IN order to do this with forethought, they have supported the Shadow Butte Devlopment Corporation with their efforts to put in a light industrial/commerical park west of town. Its got to be one of the best games going for growing businesses!

Emmett School District is always looking for ways to serve our community. They recently tried a new web site that allows parents to check up on their kids--among other things. Check with your local school office for information on this feature.

Dice is a great site for getting a feel for what your employment competition is doing. Hit their site to figure out what folks who do what you do get paid, and if there are any jobs in your specialty in a given area.

Believe it or not, federal jobs are some of the best jobs in rural Idaho, and there's usually quite a few. USA Jobs is the official site that pulls together jobs from most of the agencies that service this area. Check it out!

Who's your Monster? YOU da Monster!
If you haven't watched the Superbowl over the past several years, you don't know what Monster.Com is--it's one of the high performing job websites on the Internet. It offers a LOT of information. Of course, Emmett, Idaho isn't on the list, but Boise IS and You can live in Emmett and WORK in Boise. Many people do.

Gem County
Gem County is working hard to get information about our tremendous community where citizens can find it. The web site is navigable; any time you have that much information, organizing it is tough. Their web site actually is low impact and makes it relatively easy to find things.

Idaho.gov is an award winning web site that pulls together most of the info about Idaho you want, from how big it is physically (87,000 + square miles) to where to go to get your water tested. It's well worth the time.

American Classifieds--Thrifty Nickel--Southwest Idaho
American Classifieds (used to be Thrifty Nickel until inflation hit) is one of the largest advertising sources for classified advertising in Southwest Idaho. You want it? They'll probably have several entries for it! Give them a try!

Craigslist is an almost-free community of advertisers. The original site only charges for employment ads in 8 markets. You can advertise ALMOST anything, including Real Estate. Equity1 is proud to be able to put our listings on Craigslist Community!

DEX ONLINE Yellow Pages
Qwest DEX has been a big player in the directory services game. They have a fairly decent search engine, and they help find businesses about 98% of the time (my experience)--only about 80% successful for individuals, though (again, my experience). We use them a lot.

Love it or hate it, the M-I is one of those ever more rare things--a truly local paper. It's had a tough row to hoe, but it's becoming a very community oriented newspaper with news vital to the growth of our beautiful valley.
